Christmas concert AVE MARIA

Olga Pyatigorskaya (soprano) was born in Riga. She gratuated from Riga Musical College named after J. Medins. Already during studies she was successfully giving concerts with organ. After graduating from the college she entered the Latvian Academy of Music and Musical Conservatory of Rome “Santa Cecilia”. She graduated from Conservatory “Santa Cecilia” with the highest grades.
She possesses a beautiful voice with a rich timbre. She has performed in The Rome Opera, Rome Auditorium, St. Paolo Basilica, Naples in the oldest Church of the city “Santa Kiara”, Algerian national Theatre, Berlin, as well as in Riga.
Laureate of the international festival (2007). Latvian public award “Recognition” (2011). She has been singing in the Dome Cathedral since 2007. In 2008 recorded her first CD "Ave Maria" with outstanding organist Yevgenia Lissitsina in Riga Dom Cathedral.
Edīte Alpe (Deksne) was born in Jūrmala, Latvia, where she continues to live and work. She is a graduate of the J. Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where she earned her bachelor’s (1998) and master’s degree (2000) after studying organ performance in the class of Professor Larisa Bulava. She supplemented her skills at the international Bruksorgel summer academy in Sweden and the Royal Conservatory in Toronto, Canada. Edīte Alpe has performed in Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Russia, and Canada. She has taken part in the Rīga Dome organ music festivals, organ music festivals in Liepāja, Latgale, and the Vox Angelica organ festivals in Jūrmala. Edīte Alpe and her husband Tālivaldis Deksnis have performed as a duet in several Latvian churches, as well as in Moscow, Germany, Finland, and Sweden. She has worked with many well–known soloists and instrumentalists, including Egils Siliņš, Ilona Bagele, Solveiga Raja, Inga Šļubovska - Kancēviča, Evita Zālīte, Žoržs Siksna, Raimonds Ozols, Paula Šūmane, Idulis Cintiņš, Olga Pjatogorska, and many others. Since 1991, Alpe has served as an organist at Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Churches, and since 2000 she has been the permanent organist and organizer of musical events at the Dubulti Lutheran Church, including the famous annual organ music festival “Vox angelica” (established 2007).
Since 1998, Edīte Alpe has taught at the Jūrmala High School of Music, and since 2007 she has also taught organ performance there.
She has received the Jurmala City Annual Culture Award three times (in different nominations 2008; 2014; 2017).
